Earlier this year commercial heat treater “Southwest Specialty Heat Treat, Inc.” in Wytheville, Virginia, USA was acquired by new owners. This small commercial heat treater was founded in 1995 by Mr. David Carpenter and offered processes such as flame hardening, normalizing, quench & temper and annealing. After a lifetime spent in the heat treat industry, David decided it was time to retire and sold the firm to two of his employees.
