Commercial Heat Treater Expanding With “Multi Million” Dollar Investment
"
East Carolina Metal Treating, Inc." (dba Virginia Metal Treating (VMT) has broken ground on their 20,000 square foot addition to their existing facility in Lynchburg, Virginia. The expansion will include a significant investment of new equipment from Surface Combustion. This includes an additional integral quench furnace (36" x 36" x 48"), an aluminum quench furnace (36" x 36" x 48"), temper furnaces, and applicable accessory equipment. The expansion is expected to be complete with the equipment operational by January 2027.
We will be seeking Nadcap accreditation, already achieved at the company's sister facility (East Carolina Metal Treating) in Raleigh, North Carolina. The expansion will enhance VMT's capabilities specifically within the aerospace and defense industry. The addition of aluminum heat treating capabilities supports the company's goal of becoming a single-source provider for customers requiring high-quality, fast, and dependable heat treatment solutions."
