Gear Supplier Invests in CFC Fixturing

“SEW-EURODRIVE” a global supplier of drive technology and drive automation recently received new CFC-Fixtures to be used in the firm’s Low Pressure Carburizing (LPC) furnace line provided by High Temperature Concept (HTC)”. This new generation of racks has a unique design being modular and 100 % CFC (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Carbon) and will be used for large gears and pinions. The photos show two Racks, one each for gears and pinions, and one each loaded and unloaded.

Interesting enough just yesterday “The Monty Heat Treat News” had a news item about a “SEW-Eurodrive” facility in Germany with one of the photos showing similar parts but with cast fixturing.
