"The Monty Heat Treat News" just posted a heat treat industry exclusive in the form of a list of the "The 52 Largest Commercial Heat Treaters in North America" based upon estimated sales for 2025. Amongst those on our list was "Vac Aero International"-the largest commercial heat treater in Canada and also a major vacuum furnace supplier. We are now hearing a very interesting rumor about the company-specifically that they are putting the "International" back into the name of "Vac Aero International" in that they will be putting a "shop in a shop" somewhere in the southern USA. 

"Shop in a Shop" refers to the practice of taking over the "in-house" heat treating department of a manufacturing facility who wants to keep heat treating in house while not having the responsibility of the day-to-day operations. If this rumor is true, it would be one of the first major investments by "Vac Aero" into the US market in the form of a heat treat facility (we will add that the company has many vacuum furnace installations in the US and around the world).
