Very recently “The Monty Heat Treat News” added a rather unusual item to their “Used Equipment Listings” a vacuum sintering furnace with an operating temperature of 2530C (4586F). Manufactured by Centorr Industries of NH the furnace is still installed at a manufacturing facility and has been used for sintering of small ceramic components. It is really hard to say what interest will appear for the furnace-on the one side of the coin it is in good shape and ready to go, on the other hand this caters to a very small part of the heat-treating market.
