Goran Baltic, Linamar Gear; Goran Baltic Heat Treat Supervisor at “Linamar Gear” in Guelph, Ontario, Canada has parted ways with the company. Goran is a good experienced heat treater and we are sure his experience will be missed. Linamar is one of the 15 largest captive heat treaters in North America as ranked by “The Monty Heat Treat News” “52 Largest North American Commercial Heat Treaters”.

Colin McDonell, Aichelin Americas; “Aichelin Americas is pleased to welcome Colin McDonell to the team as a Mechanical Project Engineer, effective September 10, 2026. Colin brings extensive experience in mechanical design, project management, and industrial engineering. Throughout his career, he has supported complex projects across manufacturing, process, and nuclear industry environments. His technical background includes mechanical systems design, CAD modeling, equipment integration, project lifecycle management, and collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams. This combination of engineering knowledge and hands-on project experience will support Aichelin Americas as we continue developing and delivering reliable industrial equipment solutions for our customers.”

Christophe Mehanna, Salto Heat Treating Inc.: “Mr. Christophe Mehanna” a long-time employee of commercial heat treater Salto Heat Treating in northern Ontario, Canada has just been appointed CEO of the company;

I’m incredibly proud and humbled to share that I have been promoted from General Manager to President of Salto Heat Treating. This is a milestone that means a great deal to me, and one that I do not take lightly. I want to express my sincere gratitude to Felix lopes for the trust and confidence he has placed in me. Dan Mays, Portland Forge; Dan recently became Application Support Technician at Portland Forge, in Portland, IN. Mr. Mays has been with the company for a number of years including some time as Heat Treat Supervisor. Prior to that he was also Heat Treat Supervisor at Albany Metal Treating so the man obviously knows heat treating.

Mahdi Dhaini, AFC-Holcroft; “AFC-Holcroft is pleased to announce the promotion of Mahdi Dhaini to the position of Aftermarket Sales Engineer, effective August 31, 2026. In his new role, Mahdi will report to Adam Woelber and will work directly with customers to support the continued performance and reliability of their heat treating equipment. Since joining AFC-Holcroft as an Electrical Controls Project Engineer, Mahdi has consistently demonstrated outstanding technical expertise, a customer-first mindset, and a willingness to take on new challenges. His experience in controls engineering, PLC programming, HMI development, automation systems, and project execution has made him an important contributor to AFC-Holcroft’s engineering team.
