Byron is a very colorful individual in the heat treating industry. Originally from Australia he has spent the past number of years in China involved in both atmosphere and vacuum heat treating. He has just embarked on a very large project involving over 20 new sealed quench furnaces, more about that later. In the meantime he sent us these photos of a new installation of Ipsen bottom loading vacuum furnaces. These particular ones have a capacity of 8,000 kg with 15 bar quenching. Makes for a very interesting picture.
