Bodycote Opens Brand New Heat Treatment Facility in Illinois

Some time back Bodycote, the world’s largest commercial heat treater announced they would be closing their outdated facility in Melrose Park, Illinois and opening a brand new location in Elgin, Illinois. We now have the official press release with some details about the facility’s equipment and a couple of top notch photos. We would imagine within the next couple of months we will be seeing a press release about another substantial Bodycote investment in North America, this one in Syracuse, NY. It is really cool to see these sorts of investments in our industry!

“Bodycote opens new Illinois heat treatment facility MACCLESFIELD (U.K.) — Bodycote, the world’s largest provider of heat treatments and specialist thermal processing services, is pleased to announce the opening of a new facility in Elgin, Illinois, USA. The Elgin facility upgrades our capabilities and positions Bodycote as part of an ongoing strategy to provide the best possible capabilities and geographical network to better serve customers from the agricultural, mining, construction, automotive and various other manufacturing supply chains in the Upper Midwest region.

The brand new facility is now fully operational and supporting customer requirements.
