Heat Treat Closure Throws “Beavermatic” Furnaces on the Used Market
Earlier this year “The Monty” broke the news about commercial heat treater “Phoenix Metal Treating” in Germanstown, WI, USA, closing their doors for good. In the final episode of this 40 year old story the last of their equipment is being thrown on to the used market. What remains is a number of “Beavermatic” IQ furnaces and related items. For those not familiar with “Beavermatic” (which is probably most heat treaters) we can say this; Originally started by Jack Beaver, “Beavermatic” was acquired by “Premier Furnace Specialists Inc.” of Farmington Hills, Mich., in 2015. The brand enjoys some popularity in areas such as California and Texas but outside of these regions they are not well known. The “Beavermatics” at Phoenix are relatively small units but in very good operating condition. If you would like to know more about the equipment “The Monty” would be happy to fill you in.
“JUNE 26/2026 USA Commercial Heat Treater Closes Their Doors; Earlier this week, Phoenix Metal Treating, located at W190 N11350 Carnegie Drive in Germantown, Wisconsin, officially closed down. This 40 year old family owned company operated several medium sized Beavermatic and Ipsen batch IQ furnaces and catered largely to the local automotive parts suppliers. Unfortunately their largest customer closed down and the remaining work was not enough to justify keeping the business going.”
