Heat Treatment Industry “Names in the News”

On a regular basis "The Monty Heat Treat News" informs the industry about individuals in the industry making career changes-promotions, retirements, changes in direction-these are the individuals who make our headline for Friday, June 19th 2026;

  • Steven Sumner Retiring; Steven has spent most of his working career in the heat treatment industry having worked with firms such as "Applied Process" in Michigan (now part of "Aalberts Surface Technologies"), "Tri-City Heat Treating" and most recently with commercial heat treater "Nitrex". It would appear his retirement is effective immediately.
  • Kelly Peters; Kelly Peters comes from a heat treating background-her father "Robert Peters" was well known in the industry for many years working with firms such as "Stackpole" (now "Johnson Electric") and "ALD". Kelly did a tremendous job as GM at commercial heat treater "ALD Thermal Treatment" in Port Huron, Michigan before recently parting ways with the company and moving to commercial heat treater "Nitrex".
  • Christian Saint-Denis Retiring. While not well known to the global heat treatment industry, "Christian Saint-Denis" held a high level position in the heat treatment department at fastener manufacturer "Infasco" in Marieville, Quebec, Canada. "Infasco" operates one of the larger in-house fastener heat treat departments in North America. His retirement is immediate.
  • Ben Tylisz, "SECO/Warwick Group". Ben recently joined furnace builder "SECO/WARWICK Group" in the USA as Product Manager supporting vacuum furnace solutions. Previous to this Ben worked with vacuum pump supplier "Busch" so he brings with him a tremendous amount of experience.
  • Chad Schwartztrauber, "Certified Measurement Services". For over 28 years Chad worked with "Certified Measurement Services" in California, a company which services the heat treatment industry amongst others. Chad recently parted ways with the company and if we understand correctly, he is now working with "Heat Treating Services Unlimited" of South Carolina. Good man Chad and we are sure he will do a great job for Kyle Favors and his team.
