An in house heat treater who produces tool steels has just taken delivery of a very large, horizontal tempering furnace with a nitriding option. The manufacturer of the furnace, KGO reports that this is one of the largest units they have built with working dimensions of 2.4m X 1.4m X 1m (7’ X 4’ X 3’), Model #VA 24-14-12G. While this is described as a temper furnace the end customer who is located near Cologne, Germany elected to include the nitriding option.
