According to news reports there was an explosion and fire at Advanced Heat Treat Solutions yesterday which injured 4 people. Some reports suggest that one of the injured is Pritam Sethi, owner and founder of the company. Advanced Heat Treat Solutions is a commercial heat treater in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada who operates a mesh belt austemper line, vacuum furnaces, batch IQ furnaces and Induction hardening systems. Investigations are ongoing and no cause has yet been determined.

“Peel Police say four people are being treated for injuries following an industrial fire in Mississauga. Emergency crews responded to a heat treating facility on Anson Drive near Torbram and Derry Roads just before 11 a.m. “I was sitting in my office and it felt like a truck actually hit the building,” one witness said. “We came outside and noticed smoke coming out from across the street and a couple of people wandering around.” Paramedics say one person has been taken to a trauma centre in serious, but non-life threatening condition. Another patient was taken to hospital with minor injuries and two others were treated on scene.”
