It is a sad fact that the heat treatment industry all around the world is losing some good people with experience that cannot be replaced-the reason being that very few young people are aware that heat treatment can be a very rewarding career (albeit a hard one). Thus when we lose an individual with an entire working career in the industry it hurts us all.

 

Sam Boyer is an individual who has spent 30 years in the heat treatment industry in California, USA with companies such as commercial heat treater Bodycote, furnace builder Ipsen, as an owner of “City Steel Heat Treating” and most recently at “Themal-Vac” in CA, one of the largest commercial heat treaters in North America as rated by “The Monty Heat Treat News”, https://themonty.com/project/50-largest-north-american-commercial-heat-treats-2021-2/ 

 

Tomorrow is Sam’s last day at Thermal Vac and his experience will be missed.
