In Gloucester, UK, extrusion die manufacturer Elite Extrusion recently made the decision to install an in-house heat treatment department to handle their heat treat requirements. The family owned business https://www.elitedie.co.uk/  formed in 1986 decided that the time was right to install a vacuum hardening furnace and a companion temper unit. After months of preparation which included a power upgrade, nitrogen and water cooling services the equipment is now fully operational. A number of companies were involved in getting this project up and running, this included Vacuum & Atmosphere Services in the UK who “The Monty Heat Treat News” visited a few short weeks ago
