Vac Aero bottom loader Vertical 54 x 48 2 Bar Quench at a NADCAP Aerospace company.
The vacuum furnace is currently in operation and running aerospace parts everyday. The furnace is certified for +/- 15 F from 900F to 2150F. This is the requirement for their parts, and the furnace may perform better. I believe it was sold as a +/- 10F furnace from 1000F to 2200F. The furnace is required to run a TUS every 3 months.
The work zone is 54” diameter by 48” high.
The furnace was built in 1991. The most recent hot zone is in good condition and was designed and built by Ipsen. The hot zone is graphite with CFC and moly heating elements.
The Furnace has a 20” Diffusion Pump, and Stokes 412/615 pumping package. It has 2Bar Argon gas quenching with 50HP cooling motor.
The furnace is on a closed loop glycol water system.
The controls were upgraded several years ago by Industronics with Honeywell products.
This furnace is a work horse and has been maintained very well.
The customer would ideally like to continue to operate this VacAero furnace until the new furnace arrives in May 2020.
