Can be used for Forge Heating, Strip Heating or other Steel Mill operations includes induction power supply (AJAX TOCCO) and heat station.

a) Unit requires three phase input of 480V, 2500A.

b) Unit with 480V three phase input is rated to be 1.2mW (1200kW).

c) If changed to 660V three phase input is rated to be 2.2mW (2200kW).

d) Some additions may be needed to the Heat Station if this is to be utilized to heat billets to forging temperature or at 2.2 Mega Watts output. Current Capacitance settings optimized for strip heating ≤1,100°F

e) Unit is designed to work at 2.5 kHz in frequency.

f) Unit requires 65 GPM of cooling.

g) Buyer must have a dedicated isolation transformer at the three phase input for this machine.

h) Buyer must provide the heating or forging coils and water cooled cables to attach.

i) Commissioning and Field Service can be arranged, if needed, subject to the provider's current service rates.

j) This equipment was previously used for heating Strip in a steel mill. Could be used for that purpose again.

k) Operational prior to decommissioning, Stored in climate-controlled warehouse.

 

Note: Currently, it is setup to work at 480V input voltage. In order to switch it to 660V, buyer needs to change the input breaker.
