Recently a large gear manufacturer in the US closed their doors and the end result is that all of the manufacturing equipment is hitting the used market in North America. While the bulk of the equipment has to do with machining the company also maintained an impressive in house heat treat department. The in house heat treat department consisted of a number of very large Surface Combustion pit carburizing furnaces in really nice condition. Typically in an old style plant as we know this one to be everything is pretty dark, dirty and tired-these furnaces look pretty nice all in all. We will keep you posted and how these furnaces will be liquidated.
