The year 2020 has seen quite a number of new nitriding installations in North America-both gas and plasma. As we speak several systems are being installed including the two below. The first system was designed and built by Ion-Heat and is in the process of being commissioned at a captive heat treat in the US Midwest; “Andrés Zúñiga, Mechanical Engineering Leader, and Julián Góez, Programmer Engineer, both from ION HEAT, during the installation process of a brand new Glowtech 0815 system.”

The second system was designed and built by KGO of Germany. Since August the company has installed 3 vacuum gas nitriding furnaces with Stange Controls in the US and the fourth will be installed by the end of this month. This photo shows one of the installs.
