“The Monty Heat Treat News” has been trumpeting a new trend in the global heat treatment industry-increased defense spending around the world is leading to massive new investments in new thermal processing equipment. Further down you can see at least three examples in previous posts by “The Monty”, today we have a European example of a defense contractor investing in new Batch IQ (Sealed Quench) furnaces.

 

A major European defense contractor has commissioned a production line consisting of two, chamber (batch IQ) furnaces for case hardening. The lines come from “AICHELIN GmbH, Austria”, and are complimented with an integrated washing system. The furnaces feature recuperated gas burners with endothermic generators.
