This graph will bring joy to every heat treaters heart-we promise. What you are looking at is the spot market price for nickel in terms of dollars per pound over the past year. Aside from a wicked spike in March of this year pricing has remained fairly stable, hovering in the $10.00 USD/pound range which historically is pretty much mid range for the material. This means that pricing for all those alloy components which are a necessity for heat treaters will remain fairly stable and consistent be it base trays, baskets, fixtures, radiant tubes or muffles.
