The touch-screen display shows hardness value, converted hardness value, test conditions, go/no-go tolerance judgment, and statistical processing results. It supports hardness conversion across numerous scales (HV, HK, HB, HS, tensile strength, and many more), data memory up to 1,024 readings, SPC calculations, histograms, and X-R charts. The "L" suffix denotes the large-throat (extended depth) variant, giving it greater clearance for testing larger workpieces compared to the standard HR-523.
