It allows easy observation and analysis — without specimen preparation — of samples including non-conductive materials and materials containing water or oil.  A key advancement over its predecessor is the incorporation of a low-vacuum secondary electron (SE) detector of the same type installed on higher-level SEM models, enabling secondary electron observations under low-vacuum conditions.

 

The instrument operates at acceleration voltages of 5 and 15 kV, with magnifications ranging from 15× to 60,000×. With digital zoom, this extends up to 240,000×. It supports BSE (backscattered electron), SE, and mixed imaging modes, including a charge-up reduction mode for challenging samples.
