We believe this story to be true but aren’t 100% sure which is why it falls in the “rumor” category. We have been told that a major OEM aircraft engine manufacturer has just placed an order for a Model VAV 7248 HV-6 vertical, bottom-loading vacuum furnace with North American vacuum furnace builder “VAC AERO”. The rumor goes on to say that this would be the 12^th furnace which Vac Aero has received from this customer for their global operations. The fact that this rumor mentions a total of 12 furnaces over the years certainly adds credibility. When we are able to confirm this, we will provide further details.
