Coatings Company/Commercial Heat Treat to Close Alabama, USA Location
(Editors Note: While “Oerlikon Balzers” is best known as a coatings company they do also get involved in commercial heat treating. In this case their Pell City, Alabama location also offers nitriding services.)
“BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Eight people will soon be out of work after Oerlikon Balzers Coating USA closes its one plant in Pell City. The company, which operates over 30 locations across the country, announced in a WARN notice that it was closing its plant in Pell City, beginning March 31.
Oerlikon Balzers is a subsidiary of Oerlikon Group that provides protective coatings for different automotive parts. No other closings have been announced by the company.”
