Acquisition in the Mexican Heat Treat Industry

Earlier this week, Monday June 2 to be exact “The Monty Heat Treat News” in an industry exclusive announced that one of the largest commercial heat treaters in Mexico had made a “Very Significant Acquisition”.

“Especialidades Termicas, S.A” (ETSA Group) is a family owned commercial heat treater with several locations around the country. Several years ago Gord Montgomery of “The Monty” visited this firm and did a complete report, a report which can be found at https://themonty.com/etsa-group-mexico/.

Very recently “ETSA” acquired another Mexican commercial heat treater “Termproces” in Puebla, Mexico. “Termproces” is a smaller firm which specializes in vacuum heat treating (quite different than ETSA who concentrates on atmosphere heat treating) and it’s equipment includes a very nice ALD 10 bar quenching furnace with a capacity of 600kg.

Mario Fabián Méndez, Executive Director of the company had this to say; “I wanted to let you know that our company recently acquired Termproces, a dedicated vacuum heat treatment company located in Puebla that has ALD furnaces of 10 Bar quenching pressure and 600 kg batch capacity. This acquisition will expand our footprint in the center of Mexico, particularly among suppliers servicing AUDI and VW in the region.”

Attached are pictures of the plant and the celebration dinner that closed the deal.
