50 Largest North American Commercial Heat Treaters-Parker Trutec

Earlier this week “The Monty Heat Treat News” published our 2023 list of the 50 largest commercial heat treaters in North America ranked by sales The 50 Largest Commercial Heat Treaters in North America 2023 | The Monty One that we included on our list is one which typically “flies under the radar” when it comes to commercial heat treater in North America is Parker Trutec mainly because they focus on a relatively small customer base-Japanese auto part suppliers.  Our summary of the company is below along with a press release from way back in 2016 when they announced their fourth AFC-Holcroft batch IQ furnace.

“Parker Trutec is a North American subsidiary of Nihon Parkerizing, a world leader in metal improvement technology. The Parker Trutec Group operates 6 facilities in the United States and Mexico which specialize in metal treatments and products that improve the resistance to wear, corrosion and fatigue of metal components. The company offers heat treating processes such as Gas Carburizing, Carbonitriding, Salt Batch Nitriding and Neutral hardening at two of it’s locations, Springfield, Ohio and Guanajuato, Mexico (note all processes are available at both locations). The Ohio location alone has over 20 furnaces. In March of 2022 the company announced that business was good enough to warrant investing $12 million USD in a new facility and additional heat treating equipment. This furnace will be equipped for carburizing and be made CQI-9 compliant. The equipment was scheduled for installation in March 2016. Parker Trutec is a North American subsidiary of Nihon Parkerizing, a leading supplier of metal improvement technology. The Parker Trutec Group operates six facilities in the United States and Mexico that specialize in metal treatments and products to improve the resistance to wear, corrosion, and fatigue of metal components.”
